MCNC Values

Picture
We believe in the inherent value of all people, thus will not discriminate on the basis of age, race, gender, religion, culture, ability, sexual orientation, ect.

We serve all of our clients with the dignity and respect owed to every human being.

We believe that families are the cornerstone of our society.  Coming in every shape, size, and form we will strive to meet the needs of each unique situation with the love and compassion it rightly deserves.

We believe we are on the frontlines of the war against generational and situational poverty, and as such recognize our place in providing both short and long term care for our clients.

We recognize the importance of providing both a stepping stone and a path toward self-sufficiency.

“ I knew we could do it!”

That was the first thing out of her lips. Karen Barden, MCNC Board President, has had the dream of full time case management since she came to help MCNC 4 years ago.  “We are glad to provide the emergency services that we do and they are a great starting point for our families but I knew we could do so much more. Its been a long road but I am so excited that we are here. This is what our clients and donors have been waiting for...a program to help our clients move out of generational and situational poverty...FOR GOOD! Wa Hoo!”

This is the formal announcement that we have hired our very first full time Case Manager. Thanks to a grant from REAL Services, we are able to guarantee a full time Case Management Program through September of this year. We are very excited to bring Sara Hill onto our team at MCNC. Sara comes with a degree in Public Administration from Evergreen State College in Olympia Washington. She has many years experience doing case management and has concentrated most of that work within Marshall County. With an inside knowledge of the community and a passion for helping others, we are sure Sara will prove to be a great asset to MCNC’s efforts.

“I’m very excited to join the team at the Marshall County Neighborhood Center,” says Sara Hill on being hired for the Case Management position.  “For most of my life I have lived and worked in Marshall County.  My husband, Jason, and I are both Argos High School graduates, and we’re happily raising our two children, Annie and Cory.  Through the years I have gained a keen understanding of the challenges many families face.  As a Case Manager I will work closely with our clients to help them address their needs and succeed in life. "

Learning for Life has established a thriving referral network that will be used in addition to other skill building and educational opportunities that are designed to equip our clients with the knowledge, skills, and drive to push their lives to the next level of success! Stay tuned for more information!
